Events¶
Events are the top-level organising concept in Ordinate. Each event represents a distinct occasion — such as a conference, exhibition, or executive briefing — with its own set of people, meetings, settings, and data.

Everything in Ordinate revolves around events. When you log in, you are always working within one active event at a time. Your permissions, the people you see, and the meetings and logistics you manage are all scoped to that event.
Over time, your organisation will build up a history of events. Ordinate keeps all of them accessible, so you can refer back to past events or prepare future ones.
Key Concepts¶
- One active event at a time — your current event determines what data you see and what you can do. Switching events reloads the application with the new event's settings and permissions.
- Event access is per-user — administrators control which events each user can access (see User Event Permissions). Users can also have different roles per event.
- Event settings — each event has its own configuration for dates, calendar integration, and more (see Event Settings).
